Popular American singer and entrepreneur, Rihanna is one of the world’s most powerful celebrities.

Rihanna is a fashion designer, model and actress with an estimated net worth of above $160 million. Rihanna first entered the music industry by recording demo tapes under the direction of record producer Evan Rogers at the age of 14. Ever since, the sales of her records has exceeded 200 million worldwide.



At 29, there are certain things to learn from her life.The Grammy Award winner has achieved certain feats as a star.

1. VISION

Rihanna is definitely someone driven by vision. Apart from being a singer, she took the risk to delve into enterpreneurship.
She owns music streaming service Tidal, for high definition music videos, along with several other music artists such as Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Madonna and Nicki Minaj


She also owns a beauty and stylist agency based out of Los Angeles named Fr8me along with Benoit Demouy. The agency assists artists in booking commercials, editorial shoots, ad campaigns, and red-carpet appearances according to information on Wikipedia.
Rihanna also owns a photo agency called ‘A Dog Ate My Homework.’


2. FASHION SAVVY

The Barbadian singer is fashion savvy. Apart from having singing talent, her fashion sense is commendable.
She launched her fashion range with big brands like Armani and River Island. Rihanna has been a creative director with sportswear Puma for its women’s line.
Rihanna also became the first black woman to be the face of luxury brand Dior.  With Dior, she created a line of futuristic sunglasses. She also launched her denim shoe line Manolo Blahnik last year.



3. MEDIA RESOURCEFULNESS
Rihanna not only sings, she produces  a ten-week series called Styled to Rock was launched in 2012. The series was aimed to help upcoming British designers with their clothing lines.

4. RESILIENCE

Rihanna is known to have faced lots of challenges, especially in her relationship  and despite all odds, she has remained at the top of her game. Succeeding in music, media and fashion. Her resilient spirit is admirable.



5. PHILANTHROPIC NATURE
Not many people know that Rihanna is a philanthropist. Her decade-old Believe Foundation is aimed at helping terminally ill children.  Besides being an ambassador for a host of fund-raising activities for the cause of AIDS and cancer, Rihanna has done many concerts, the money from which have used towards child welfare.

Rihanna also founded the Clara Lionel Foundation in honor of her grandparents and has been raising funds since 2012 towards oncology and nuclear medicine.

Aggrieved Policeman Infects Underage Girls With HIV Over Dismissal From The Force, Commits Suicide Afterwards



There is so much injustice and evil in the world.  According to a report by SaharaReporters, a dismissed Police officer from Cross River State has committed suicide after being accused of defiling and infecting a nine-year-old girl, and five others, with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
According to investigation by Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), the policeman was dismissed from the force for alleged gross misconduct and detained in a prison in Port Harcourt, and relocated to Bayelsa State.
Community sources said the incident, which has provoked anger among indigenes of Kolokuma/Opokuma area of the state, led to a search for the officer, but he escaped towards Trofani community in Sagbama Local Government Area, where he was reported to have committed suicide.
A source, who preferred not to be named, revealed that the six victims included a female lover, who had moved to Delta State after a test proved she was HIV positive.
“Investigation showed that the man escaped from a prison in Port Harcourt sometime last year and embarked on a defilement spree. More than five underage persons were reportedly defiled and infected with HIV,” the source stated.
“The nine-year-old girl, names withheld, was defiled recently. The victim told her mother about the act, but the mother refused to listen to her. However, when the girl could not walk properly and was sickly, the mother took her for a laboratory test and discovered that she had not only been defiled but was also HIV positive.
“We call on the Bayelsa State Commissioner of Health and the FIDA to come to the aid of the victims. They need treatment.”
Contacted on the development, spokesman of the Bayelsa Police Command, Asinim Butswat, said though he had heard about the incident, it had not been “officially reported to the command”.
